Lucknow: Prof. R. K. Dhiman, Director, SGPGIMS inaugurated the institute’s newly established Hospital Security Office on 11th December, marking a significant advancement in SGPGIMS’s ongoing commitment to fostering a secure, peaceful, and patient-centric environment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dhiman said, “SGPGIMS is dedicated to the well-being of our community, which extends beyond medical care for ensuring physical safety. The inauguration of the Hospital Security Office marks a pivotal step in strengthening preventive measures and fostering a secure, cordial atmosphere which is essential to the healing process.”
Apart from Prof. R. K. Dhiman, Director, SGPGIMS the inauguration ceremony was gracedby Prof Shaleen Kumar, Dean, All Heads of Departments, Prof. V. K. Paliwal, Chairman, Security Committee, Colonel J. S. Ghuman, Joint Director(Administration)&Nodal Officer Security, Colonel Varun Bajpai, Executive Registrar, Prakash Singh, Joint Director(Material Management) and other officialsof the institute.
Strategically located between the PMMSY and the New OPD Building, the new office brings together a series of enhancements designed to significantly elevate the institute’s security readiness. The Hospital Security Office has a 24X7 Security Help Desk, ensuring immediate assistance for patients, visitors, and staff at any time of Day or Night. To further bolster responsiveness, a dedicated Quick Reaction Team, is now positioned to address incidents swiftly and sensitively.
